Today, I have such a great treat for you! This will be a virtual garden tour that is so breathtaking. While I had to withdraw from the visit for personal reasons, when I saw the photos and videos my Mom and brother shared with me, I had to show you the beauty they experienced.

This was a floral wonderland! I couldn’t wait to share their amazing experience with all of you.

A. A BLOOMING OASIS ON THIS GARDEN VISIT

The Butchart Garden is an internationally renowned garden that is located in Victoria, British Columbia. The best part is that it is a short drive from the beautiful downtown by the water. Plenty of hotels to stay and easy to get to by Ferry from Washington.

Victoria is just such a dreamy place and this garden is an extension of the experience. It is a place where nature and harmony come together and leave you in awe.

My mother and brother could not stop describing each corner and how enchanting the garden was.

1. Floral Extravaganza

First, can we talk about the colors of this garden?!

The beds are a kaleidoscope of colors and shapes. It is so vibrant, but at the same time it has the most delicate feel. Something about this garden captivated them. My family’s photos showcase the incredible diversity in blooms.

2. Flawless Landscaping

This is not a place about flowers only, it is full of hardscape sensitivity that draws you in. It is so well planned with interested on every corner, focal points that draw you in and thoughtful on how you experience every area.

It is not a theme-driven garden, it goes into details that brings the look together; beautiful pathways, architectural features that feels like you are part of a story.

I am always so amazed by the creativity of humankind and how we can balance nature and architecture so well. It is so serene.

3. Tranquil Waters

One of the many things I loved about this garden visit is when they showed me, and talked about it, was the water feature. One of the definite highlights my family couldn’t stop raving about. Made me want to upgrade my pond! But then, I came back to earth. I love my pond and the fish are happy, no need to change a thing.

Ponds and waterfalls are such a perfect spot to stop and take a moment to reflect.

4. Dazzling Dahlias

Of course, I was so drawn to the images of the dahlias. One of the highlights for me and the stars of the tour. The dahlias are truly spectacular.

My family captured a few images of these beauties to inspire you and maybe add some more dahlias to your own garden after seeing them.
