Decorative things that feel like a naturalist decor pieces are rooted in what you find when you observe nature. From trees to flowers, as well as wildlife or bodies of water; rivers, oceans, creeks.
But it is so much more than that because when you go into the micro of nature and begin observing the textures around you, from the textures on a branch to the water droplets on a leaf, this is when the inspiration really begins.
I remember telling you the story of how I was driving one day last fall and had to pull over because the texture of the color and surfaces of the colorful leaves on the road where so inspiring. I had to stop and observe the beauty for a moment.
